The dramatic pergola paired with looming trees not only created a sense of seclusion for this garage deck project but also mimicked a sense of nature within the Ukrainian Village. The built-in bench with its custom cushions supplied a sense of coziness while enclosing both a fire table and a formal dining table.

Organic elements and a neutral color palette reinforced the natural feeling of the space. Both shaded and open areas offered the client flexibility in how to enjoy sunny Chicago days for a large part of the year. The decking and furniture were built with composite materials to practically eliminate maintenance routines.
